Connemara Golf Links Local Rules

Out of bounds Rule 18.2
Over any wall or fence defining the boundary of the course. On or beyond any white line or line of stakes defining the boundary of the course. A ball is out of bounds when all of it lies on or over such line.


Penalty Areas Rule 17
Yellow Penalty Areas defined by yellow stakes
Red Penalty Areas defined by red stakes


N.B. No relief from unmarked open drains

GUR Rule 16.1 Any area of the course marked as GUR plus ground disturbed by Greenkeepers. Drop within one club length of the nearest point of complete relief, no nearer the hole. Treat new turfed areas and badger scrapings as GUR.

NPZ Rule 2.4 Play is prohibited from any area of the course marked as a No Play Zone

Immovable Obstructions Rule 16.1 Tarmac roads on the course, fixed furniture, sleeper and stone steps, sprinkler heads, hydrant boxes, embedded distance marker discs. 

Movable obstructions Rule 15.2 Rakes in bunkers

Sprinkler Heads MLR F-5 If the sprinkler head is within two club lengths of the putting green and your ball is within two club lengths of the sprinkler head and on your line of play, you may drop within one club length of the nearest point of complete relief, no nearer the hole. 

Penalty for breach of Local Rule General Penalty (2 strokes in Stroke Play, loss of hole in Match Play)

Notes
Slow Play
If any group should lose more than one clear hole on the group in front it may be passed on request or on instruction from course marshal.

Buggies are not to be taken onto teeing areas or putting greens and should not carry more than two people. The driver must be over 18 years.

Care of the Course Please replace divots and repair pitch marks. Please use divot bags when provided.
